			| CIP: | 15.1202 |  OverviewIn this one semester program, students acquire foundational knowledge and skills in technical communication, algebra, learning skills and problem-solving strategies, and computing concepts.  Students who successfully complete the program will be given priority seating into one of the following technician programs of their choice: 
	Information and Computer Systems Technician Program offered by the Computer Science DepartmentComputer Network Electronics Technician Program offered by the Electronics and Computer Engineering DepartmentEngineering Graphics Technician Program offered by the Mechanical Engineering Department. |

 At the completion of the program students will be able to:  Demonstrate basic technical writing, reading and communication skills required for effective professional communications.Use the appropriate software to produce documents that meet industry expectations.Demonstrate competency in core algebra topics sufficient for entry into the target program.Solve simple engineering/technical problems using introductory math and computing skills and knowledge.Apply basic computer terminology, concepts and applications to experiential learning activities.Program Completion Requirements
