Overview
This certificate program offers participants the opportunity to gain a wide variety of business skills. Courses are included in management, communications, technology, marketing, economics and more. Upon completion of the Business Certificate, students can seamlessly ladder into other School of Business diploma and degree programs.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this program students will be able to:
- Use effective critical thinking for problem-solving and decision-making in day-to-day practices as a beginning manager.
- Communicate effectively, verbally and in writing, with individuals and groups in a variety of business contexts.
- Support and promote effective interaction with others in a work environment.
- Adapt and flex with changing situations within a business environment.
- Function in a responsible and accountable manner.
- Apply the principles of business ethics and corporate social responsibility.
Note:
* Students who intend to complete an Accounting diploma or an Accounting degree must take ACCT 111 .
Program Participation Requirements
- Many first year Business courses require Math as a prerequisite (e.g. “C” in Pre-calculus 11, Foundations of Math 11, MATH 073 , MATH 077 , MATH 137, or “C+” in MATH 072 , MATH 075 , or MATH 135). Students may enter this program without Math but please note, students must complete one of the Math courses as listed above or successfully complete Camosun’s Math assessment in or before their first semester of study.
