CHEM 214 - Nutrition for Fitness Credits: 3 Total Hours: 60 Fundamental aspects of nutrition associated with improved fitness and health through exercise are presented. Topics include balanced roles of proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, vitamins, minerals and water; supplements; dietary intake and energy usage; dietary programs and myths; nutrition for exercise and sports performance cardiovascular health, diabetes, osteoporosis, hypokinetic disorders, obesity, and aging.
