ENVR 217 - Field Skills
Credits: 3 Total Hours: 90
Through a range of field-based activities, students will develop applied field skills for careers in the environmental industry. Students will engage in selection of appropriate environmental monitoring protocols, sampling methodologies, and using and maintaining equipment in a variety of terrestrial and aquatic habitats. Students will learn navigation and survival skills for working safely in wilderness settings. Fieldwork will involve a strong team-work component and students will learn aspects of field logistics and how to work professionally in a team environment.
