ENVR 112 - Environmental Research and Practice Credits: 3 Total Hours: 45 Finding solutions to environmental problems is complex and often involves many diverse stakeholders. In this course, students will learn the practical aspects of working as an environmental professional. Skills will include identifying relevant data, including Traditional Ecological Knowledge, how to collect and analyse this data to industry standards, and how to report findings based on these analyses. Students will explore legislation in relation to environmental research and practice at different levels of government, industry needs and requirements, Indigenous governance, and permit application. Students will write technical reports based on a variety of case studies that will require them to apply course concepts to real-world problems.
