ENGR 295 - Building Science Fundamentals Credits: 3 Total Hours: 60 Restricted to students in Civil Engineering Bridge to UVIC The field of building science considers the design and selection of equipment and engineering strategies to achieve energy efficiency and occupant comfort. Students will configure building systems considering building climate and exposure and the movement of moisture, air, and energy within buildings and building zones. The objectives of equity, sustainability, and engineering ethics in the built environment are incorporated into design decisions. Building science principles will be used to design, document, and present a building project.
