Cybersecurity has never been more important, as a single security breach can have far-reaching consequences for an organization. In this course, students will develop a foundational understanding of cybersecurity and how it relates to information and network security. Students will be able to identify the characteristics of cybercrime, security principles and technologies, and procedures to defend networks. Through interactive, multimedia content, lab activities, and multi-industry case studies, students develop essential cybersecurity knowledge and skills.
