Students will examine current and emerging societal and professional issues and opportunities as they relate to dental hygiene practice and the provision of oral health care. Students will conduct independent inquiry into an area of interest in a local, national, or global context. Students will apply research skills, critically evaluate issues and opportunities in the profession, and propose creative solutions or recommendations that positively impact dental hygiene practice or access to oral health care.
