BUS 401 - Co-operative Work Experience 4

Restricted to students in Bachelor of Business Administration
In this supplemental work term, students will expand and consolidate the range of their academic knowledge, skills, and attributes with their practical experience in the field. Through critical reflection, they will enhance their knowledge of workplace roles and responsibilities to provide mentorship, to refine their leadership skills, and to act as ambassadors to promote understanding and connection across contexts.

A site visit is an integral component of the course, involving the student, Workplace Supervisor, and Co-op Field Instructor. Students are supported in the work term by the Co-op Field Instructor who mentors and acts as a bridge between the academic and work realms. The Workplace Supervisor and the Co-op Field Instructor work in partnership to assess student work performance and/or assignments.

Prerequisites
All of:

COM in BUS 101
COM in BUS 201
COM in BUS 301

And one of:

Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 courses of the Bachelor of Business Administration with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0
Approval of the School of Business Co-op Internship Coordinator
