GEOG 111 - Natural Hazards Credits: 3 Total Hours: 60 This course introduces physical geography by examining the natural environmental processes behind hazards like earthquakes, storms, landslides and floods. It examines how human development and planning can turn hazards into disasters, or effectively mitigate them. Current events are emphasized. Lab activities introduce physical geography techniques in a hazards context.
