AET 411 - Research Project

Credits: 3 Total Hours: 60

Students will apply research knowledge and skills to a topic of personal interest within their degree field of study and engage in a research process. With support from a faculty supervisor, students will either design and implement a personal research project or make equivalent contributions to an existing research project in collaboration with a faculty member. Through this inquiry process students will experience the real-life twists and turns of research as they learn about the importance of ethics in research, refine their understanding of research methodology and methods, and generate knowledge about their research topic.

Notes: Permission will be based on a student having completed two years post-secondary study or minimum 3rd year standing in the area of specialization.
