ASIA 111 - Contemporary Asia-Pacific Credits: 3 Total Hours: 45 This course is an introduction to the development of the Asia-Pacific region in the modern period. The course will outline the social, cultural, economic and political structures and changes in the region. Special emphasis is on understanding the issues of globalization, industrialization, nationalism, class, gender, cultural identity, art and literature.
