Overview
Students will find that this introductory Cybersecurity program takes a practical career-oriented approach to learning, with emphasis on the installation, repair and maintenance of computers, servers and simple computer networks. Graduates of this one-year program are prepared to work in a number of roles in the IT industry maintaining systems.
Students will have the option to take a number of industry certification exams but they are not a required part of the program.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the program, students will be able to:
- Install and maintain operating systems, server software and troubleshoot computer systems hardware;
- Maintain and troubleshoot selected computer network systems;
- Write simple Programs using a high level programming language;
- Use data communication technologies in wired applications to create data transmission solutions;
- Analyze, troubleshoot, and solve technical problems related to computer and Network systems;
- Communicate and work effectively as a technician with team members, employers, technical and non-technical personnel;
- Demonstrate professional and ethical conduct as an IT support technician.
