HMGT 100 - Hospitality Career Skills
Credits: 1.5 Total Hours: 30
In this course, students learn the core skills needed to identify, apply for, and obtain positions in a variety of hospitality and tourism work environments. By exploring how their personal strengths, interests, and values fit with potential work-integrated learning opportunities - and examining the range of career opportunities available in this diverse industry - students will begin to develop clear and viable career paths. Students will learn to reflect on and articulate how their classroom learning applies in the workplace. They will learn effective work search tools and strategies, build interview and networking skills, and enhance their overall professionalism.
