CHEM 090 - College Prep Chemistry 2

Students in this course will further develop their chemistry knowledge, providing a strong foundation for future academic studies and career or vocational training. They will be able to apply new concepts including reaction kinetics, equilibrium, and redox processes to explain why chemical reactions occur and the extent to which they proceed. Students will also apply these concepts to real-world environmental contexts. In addition, they will learn to collect, analyze, and interpret scientific data, communicate effectively using the language of chemistry, and handle chemicals in a safe and responsible manner.

Prerequisites
One of:

C in Chemistry 11
C in CHEM 070

And one of:

C in Apprenticeship and Workplace Mathematics 11 or Foundations of Math 11 or Pre-calculus 11
C in MATH 073
